CRC’s Good Works!

CRC champions business growth in the communities where our employees live and work, and in Willows, California, one of our favorite events to support that goal is the renowned Willows Lamb Derby. Initially starting from humble beginnings dating back to the Great Depression, this annual event was created to try and bring new membership to the local Willows Chamber of Commerce and help increase of business and trade in the community.

Since the first event in 1934, the Lamb Derby has become one of the community’s favorite events featuring contests, a parade and adorable lambs of course! The proceeds from this year’s celebration were dedicated toward helping resurrect the carnival portion of the festival, as well as supporting the Lamb Derby committee in its re-energizing the town’s long-standing derby celebration.

Lisa Teeter, this year’s Lamb Derby Fundraising Committee Chairwoman said, “Thank you to CRC for its generous donation. Getting our carnival back on track and honoring the Lamb Derby’s 85-year-old tradition means a lot to our community.”
